Street Arts in Georgetown

Whether you believe it or not, Penang has been named as Malaysia’s most liveable city for the second year in a row. I feel so proud of this achievement despite I am not a Penangite.

In order to find out what so special about Penang, I had a short visit to this island with my coursemates last friday. And, guess what? I have made my first time driving on the streets of Penang. It’s really cool when you have a chance to shuttle here and there through those centenary old streets of Penang, particularly Georgetown.

Perhaps, some of you have paid a visit to this tourist spot which has just became a hot topic among travelers (it’s been covered in some media too) recently, i.e. Street Arts and Paintings in Georgetown.

It’s really AWESOME~ lol

All those street arts and paintings are scattered around the old streets of Georgetown (UNESCO world heritage site). Some paintings even hide somewhere at the corner you might not see it easily. It’s really fun to search for those paintings like playing a treasure hunt~

Let pictures tell out the story~ (Thanks to Alvis and Steffeny taking photos for this trip)

These two kids are the most famous painting among them. Even I saw a wedding couple took this view as their photographing background.

Ah ha~!! Here you are~!! XXDDD

I love this painting the most, it's so huge and fantastic~!!!
 Another hiding dinosour~ loL

Obviously I am more than five feet~

Hey kid, I even taller than you without using any chair... lol

Hold it tight, kid!!!

 Alvis, Steffeny, Fann and I~

In the end, I have confessed my love to Penang in this beautiful beach of Batu Ferringhi. LoL

Handphones must stay OUT of my classroom!!

Read this article first: Nod for handphones in schools

My God, what’s wrong with our ministry of education? What on earth is inside their brain? What are those donkeys who sitting in air-cond office thinking of? Have they ever considered the consequences and all those side-effects that might be happened of allowing students bring their handphones into classroom?

Brainless! It’s purely brainless! Opps, I shouldn’t blame them, because they are neither educator nor educationist, instead of a gang of unenlightened bureaucrats.

I fully understood the effort has being taken by our dear ministry to implement the so-called “1Bestari” programme which provides virtual teaching environment for teachers and students. I admit that it definitely helps in improving the process of teaching and learning but this doesn’t mean it give an excuse to ministry to let students bringing their own gadgets. Instead, government should build more Bestari classrooms 精明教室 for schools which equipped with free WiFi and devices of information and communications technology (ICT).

It will absolutely create chaos if we allow students using their handphones during schooling time.

I certainly not go against technology, I knew that teaching with ICT is kind of trend as well. Chalk and talk has turned medieval in eyes of some educators though I quite disagree with it.

Handphone is, of course, a necessity for every adult, but not for students. Handphones must remain prohibited in classroom~!!

First of all, a handphone is not as cheap as a pencil case. Some multifunction smartphones can reach 2K and above, and even the lowest price for handphones also at least cost RM300. In short, handphone is a super expensive item for students.

So just imagine, what’s gonna happen if someone lost his/her handphone in school? Who should take the responsibility of it? You might say, ‘of course student himself lah!’

But, parents won’t think in this way, most of them will blame the school and teachers. So, at that time, teachers need to transform into ‘Sherlock Holmes’ and dig every corner of school compound just for that bloody missing handphone!!

I am not pessimistic. Huge item like school bags can be lost in school, why not for those attractive and expensive Iphone or Galaxy Note?

Secondly, handphone is a big distraction to teaching and learning. Currently I am a student, I know this very much! Most of us are playing our handphones when the lecture is boring. Nowadays, handphone is not just used for communicating, it is armed with a huge variety of functions, such as playing game, surfing internet, watching video and so on.

In other words, handphone can disrupt someone from learning or doing homework. If students are allowed using handphones in classroom, guess what would happen? Facebooking, sms-ing, playing game, listening songs, watching movies and all sort of unnecessary activities provided by their handphones. Students will find themselves difficult to concentrate during the lesson, all their minds are being attracted by that small screen!!

Last but least, handphone can be used to commit wrongdoings or even crimes. Please don’t underestimate the cleverness and ability of nowadays students; they are smarter than expected especially when they’re using high technology to do some bad things.

Using handphone to cheat in the exam, taking picture of their teachers secretly and circulate it in internet, spreading pornography among students though handphones and etc etc, all these things might be happened if we allow students to bring their handphones to school.

In the end, I strongly reaffirm that handphones must stay OUT of my classroom! Whoever shows his/her handphone in my class, I will immediately confiscate it without any hesitation!!

Oooppss~~ I forgot to mention an important point, i.e. using handphone too frequent is very harmful to students’ health~

I'm really anticipating the realization of my dream~ Just less than 100 days to go! Anyhow, may God bless everything goes well.

Ok, go back to books. Right now, my first priority is get all papers passed, God willing, passed with flying colours~

A vege crush

What would you do when you have a crush on someone? Or what is the feeling of a crush?

Wonderful? Or painful?

Let's define CRUSH~

Every time you see that special gal, your heart beats very fast and your butterflies in your stomach start to make you act unnaturally. You will try to pretend to be serious and hide all your ugly characteristics, or sometimes you even try to avoid her.

But, ironically when she left from your eyesight, you can’t stop thinking of her, every second, every moment, and her name, her smile, her appearance keep on popping out in your mind, it distracts all of your attentions and drives you into craziness.

You crush on her may make you do silly things, such as peeping her, stalking her, figuring out her location, looking at her facebook thousand times a day (even reading all her comments thoroughly), collecting every piece of information about her through every method you can… and other obsessive actions etc etc…

This is called CRUSH~

Sorry, my meat eating habit has been resurged~

Finally I decided to put an end to my vegetarianism lifestyle after 50 days of practicing. (Eeehh? Why I suddenly change topic huh?)

I felt sad on the termination of my vegelife. Anyway, this is definitely temporary, I vow to resume it at August because something big is gonna happen at that time.

So, crush?

Ehmmm… actually…

The reason I took vegetarianism because I have a crush on someone.

Someone I find very attractive. And, she is a vegetarian.

My first time microteaching

What is a microteaching?

According to the definition given by Wikipedia, microteaching is a training technique whereby the teacher reviews a videotape of the lesson after each session, in order to conduct a "post-mortem". Teachers find out what has worked, which aspects have fallen short, and what needs to be done to enhance their teaching technique.

During a microteaching, teachers are normally asked to prepare or simulate a short lesson (around 10 minutes or one of the stages) for his or her classmates (co-learners). At the same time, the microteaching will be recorded or videotaped for further discussion with lecturer and classmates.

Last Sunday, I eventually had a chance to experience my first time of microteaching. It was really terrible. Since I have been a teacher for couple of years, microteaching is supposedly a piece of cake for me, but that day it unexpectedly ended up in a failure. Probably I didn’t prepare very well for it.

No doubt, microteaching provides a trainee teacher like me a great opportunity to review my way of teaching whether it works. Obviously my teaching method (in microteaching) looked very abnormal and out of my expectation everything turned out FUNNY~ Oh my God~

What do you think? Your comments and feedbacks are highly appreciated as I’m still bending over backwards for my reflection....

Chinese female teachers should wear this...

Why Malay and Indian female teachers can wear their traditional dresses (i.e. Baju Kurung and Sari respectively) at any occasion freely but Chinese are not allowed to wear their Cheongsam? (It stated clearly in our Etika Berpakaian Guru.)

Why huh? Why Chinese girls cannot wear cheongsam? I used to have this doubt~ I have grumbled a lot about this ‘unfair phenomenon’ and even guessed what our government is conspiring. Are they trying to ‘eliminate our tradition’?

Anyhow, I have observed that sometimes not the authority oppresses our cheongsam, but we ourselves rather reluctant to wear it. It is perhaps due to cheongsam looks a bit sexy, provocative and some say menjolok mata especially for society which is relatively conservative like Malaysia.

That’s why we found that cheongsam is not suitable for teachers who should need a higher modesty in their profession; if not whole school will become very HOT~ because of the dress…lol

Actually, our 'cute' government is well-intentioned for this matter, they are not eliminating our tradition but protecting it instead.

Protecting us from cheongsam~! Thank you, government~ lol

Hmmm, I am speaking neither sarcasm nor incoherence, but I am very serious to say so. Ladies and gentlemen, please listen this carefully: cheongsam/qipao and samfu/magua are not our Chinese traditional clothes.

They are Manchu’s, a nomadic race once lived at north of the Great Wall and had notoriously contributed backwardness and barbarism to Chinese civilization because of their almost three centuries of brutal invasion. Read this Hanfu is in Jitra now!!!

Since we have already understood that cheongsam is originated from Manchu, so there is pointless for us to keep on wearing these alien clothes. The Jews will never wear Nazi’s uniform, so it is absolutely unconscionable to take Manchu’s cheongsam to represent our identity.

Well, what should a Chinese female teacher wear during occasion that needs traditional attire?

I suggest Aoqun 襖裙, which was a common type of female Hanfu (Han clothing) during the Ming Dynasty, because it is truly gorgeous and elegant, and most importantly it doesn’t menjolok mata :p

All of my female coursemates and colleagues should consider this Aoqun ya~

I need to clarify that I am not anti-Manchu (their regime had long been vanished), I just want to recover my own true culture and this is my basic human right.

Traditional cloth is not just an identity but moreover it is a carrier of our cultural values.

Little piece of Memoirs~

Sometimes I doubt myself whether being a teacher is the right path for me.

Frankly, throughout my teenage, teacher was neither my ambition nor dream job, instead was my least favourite occupation. Haha, I guess you might be surprise to hear this?!

Yea, most of bad students think teacher is such of tyrant who oppresses our liberty, including me of the past.

The reason I bumped into this educational field was simply a coincidence. Perhaps, it could be disposal of the Almighty.

Previously, I saw this job as my temporary or transitional stage for a next, better and more promising career, I continued to be a teacher merely because I needed to sustain my life at that time, and I never have a thought of teacher is my lifelong mission.

This is because from my point of view, teacher is a job which full of frustrations and emotional turbulences.

I even had planned to quit after two years serving as temporary teacher. But, everything changed, my thinking has changed tremendously, I unbelievably started to love the job after I met them.

Although I have already left my dear little princess and prince, I often miss them especially during my very tough time like NOW~ overwhelmed by monstrous assignment and insufficiency of capital which almost throw me into humanitarian crisis.

Oh God, please quicken the processing of our allowance, if not I’m going to eat GRASS~ x.x

Anyway, memories with my little princess and prince is always the best anaesthetic to relieve my stresses~ Can’t wait to see them on coming March 9, so anticipating!!

Save Kuantan, Save Malaysia!

If one day in the future, your dear granddaughter asks you that why she couldn’t find the label of picturesque Teluk Cempedak beach in Malaysian map, how are you going to answer her? Or, she maybe points at label of Kuantan which is crossed with bloody red words and questions “Grandpa, what is the meaning of ‘Abandoned --- Radioactive Wasteland’?”

If the scenario mentioned above happens, I take it as blessing, because the most terrible thing might be your granddaughter could not speak and even think due to deformities caused by apocalyptic radioactive contamination. Don’t blame God at that time, as He have no mercy to bear our sin~

It is neither a science fiction nor a fantastic joke; instead it will become a fact in case we the Rakyat tolerate the establishment of Lynas rare-earth factory at our homeland. Don’t believe it? Please go and check for Chernobyl!

Well, you might question: ‘What on earth is the rare earth about?’

Here are some videos may give you a clear picture to this harmful thing. Just have a look, you will find something scary to do with your life~

Wow, scary man~

Yea, it is Lynas! If we do not put an end to Lynas, it will put an end to our entire Malaysian. It sounds exaggerating but it is very true, so please throw away all your indifferent and selfish mind-sets.

Undeniably, under current backdrop of utilitarianism, most of us generally lack of public consciousness and possess kind of thinking which is ‘it is none of my business, others will do/help it’, that’s why there are plenty of oppressions and exploitations against minorities that supposedly need for our advocacy yet ended up with nothing because of our indifference and selfishness.

A silent bystander to a crime is an accomplice to it. Shame on us T.T

Now, we who used to be an accomplice ironically have turned to be a victim. Thanks to Lynas, all of us who inhabit on the soil of Satu Malaysia are going to be victimized collectively. No one is an island; every one of us is part of each other. If Kuantan fall (to radiation catastrophe), KL will kena straightway, no one could spare from it unless you can get a Noah’s Ark with radiation-proof~

Ladies and gentlemen, Lynas this shit only benefit those corrupted regime’s high level but contribute zero to us even threaten our life and nation, what for we still let it occupy our precious land!

We are not the last generation of Malaysian, and we don’t want to be too. For the sake of beloved Malaysia, for the sake of our lovely grandchildren, we, every member of our country should show the true spirit of SATU MALAYSIA and join forces to drive the evil Lynas out of our soil!

This is not main-main, but is about life and death. So, let us support GREEN, support 226, say NO to Lynas in the name of Malaysia and Rakyat~!!!

Let’s get our scope wider, action against Lynas is not only saving Malaysia, but saving our Mother Earth too~

Students, follow teacher to read?

How well a teacher conducts a lesson is basically dependent on how precise he/she delivers instructions to his/her students.

For example, “class, open your book to page 23”, “students, raise your right hand”, “please be quiet”, and etc etc….

Well, these authoritative commands are generally called ‘Classroom Instructions’. Undoubtedly, class instructions play an important role to function a lesson effectively, but most of English language teachers who are not natively speaking the language sometimes fail to deliver classroom instructions correctly instead confuse the students.

For instance, “Students, follow teacher to read this sentence.” At first, I find this instruction has no problem, because it is likely meant “同學們,跟老師讀這句子” if it translates to Chinese.

It seems making sense, huh?! At least for me. In fact, it doesn't!

Thanks to one of my lecturers, Puan Ranjini, corrected this wrong instruction, not FOLLOW me, but REPEAT AFTER me. (The word ‘follow’ means move behind someone~ literally it also means 跟 in Chinese)

Oh no, that’s mean I ‘follow’ wrongly for more than a quarter century! (Another mistake of that sentence is the appropriate usage of the word/address ‘TEACHER’; I will discuss it in my following post.)

The mistake occurred most probably due to my mother tongue’s influence; I really need to think or imagine myself is an Orang Putih! So, put away all of my Chinese thinking~

Here are some useful classroom instructions which I got it in the internet. (With Chinese meaning)
  • Be quiet. 安靜
  • Open your book to page 23. 翻開課本第23頁
  • Show me pencil box. 拿鉛筆盒出來
  • Repeat after me. 跟著我讀
  • Write down the answer. 把答案寫下來
  • Raise your hand. 舉手

  • How do you spell 'English'? 要怎麼拼 English ?
  • Make a sentence with 'love'. 用love造一個句子
  • Your turn./My turn. 輪到你了/輪到我了
  • Let's do it again. 我們再重新來一次
  • Don't do that. 那樣做是不行的
  • No way. 絕對不可以
  • Good job. 做的真棒
  • You got it. 答對了
  • Take out your workbook. 拿出你的習作簿
  • Put your book away. 把你的書收起來
  • Pay attention! 注意!
  • Listen up! 注意聽!
  • Look here! 看這裡!
  • Sit still! 坐好 !
  • Hurry up! 快一點!
  • Come to the front. 到前面來
  • Go back to your seat. 回到你的座位
  • Keep it clean and neat. 保持整潔
  • Hoist the flag. 升旗

Italian night~

Oh my God, am I out of my mind?

This is really insane! Yesterday we had Secret Recipe’s, and today we got Pizza for our dinner. But, the thing is, our allowance is still damn faraway from our account!!

We are getting MAD, seriously!

Anyhow, I would like to thank a nice coursemate for giving me this pizza coupon and it has dragged us to hell… it let us have a wonderful Italian dinner tonight~

Eat to live, don't live to eat ya~^^

A very luxurious teatime^^

Although life is tough, we need to enjoy it whole-heartedly. That’s why we were there for whole afternoon.

No planning, it happened impromptu.

Guess what, we had a very comfortable plus a little bit costly teatime at Secret Recipe!

Haha, please don’t get jealous ya~

Life is very short, so we choose Secret Recipe’s cake to make it SWEET. Forget about assignment, allowance and all sorts of worries, just take it easy.

While enjoying the delicious cake and coffee, we also had a chit chat for several hours there. We talked about anything from sky to soul. The moment was really enjoyable.

It’s GREAT to have such friends, like Alvis and Ryan~

Find this photo interesting, that's why I created this poster~lol

Bright side

I often get confused that whether today is Sunday or Monday.

As I’ve already mentioned in my previous post, Kedah (with Terengganu and Kelantan) is practising kind of different workweek system from central government which is Friday and Saturday are the weekend.

I grumbled a lot in my last post. No allowance is oppression, I thought. But, try to look on the bright side.

Thanks to no allowance, I found myself is getting healthier. Hey, this is an honest speaking, NOT an irony.

This is because I has largely reduced my meat consumption and turned to more vegetarian diet or 'healthier' food like this:

Oatmeal and cracker have became my daily essential supply. lol

I believe that the DARKEST hour is that before the dawn. When things are at the worst, they begin to mend.

Ooopps, did I use the correct proverbs?

星期六, 2月 18, 2012

Praying hard for allowance

Sigh.

As a poor student, I solve my dinner with just a cup of instant oatmeal and few pieces of cream crackers most of the nights in a place which I called it my second home despite it’s been teased as ‘asylum of foreign labour ’ (by some of my coursemates :p)

Hmm, the reason I’m leading such an ascetic life because I wished to train myself to be a self-discipline person and eliminate all of my evil desires…. this is gibberish…. just simply because ALLOWANCE haven’t reach my account yet!!!

Famine has started silently in my house.

Now, my housemates and I challenge with each other, see who is the one can survive in this extremely inadequate environment with a very basic human need --- 3 pieces of crackers every day. O.olll

Ooopps… sounds a bit exaggerating~

Anyway, instant noodles, instant oatmeal and clean drinking water perhaps are very precious things for us to sustain our existence. I know the time is tough but I, together with my strong-minded housemates, will never capitulate to this oppression!

We will fight until the last piece of cracker!!

I always am optimistic. I believe my DEAR allowance will find me very soon. And I pray very hard for it.

How you see a TEACHER?

What is the first picture came into your mind when you heard the word ‘Teacher’?

A mid-forties woman, who are wearing a pair of old-fashioned spectacles, paint the blackboard with chalk and talk a lot of ‘nonsense’ with her scary high-pitched voice.

Is she the teacher came out in your mind?

That’s fine if you think she is a teacher since this is the stereotypical way most people think about teacher.

Frankly, your mind is absolutely outdated. :p

Recently, I found there are a lot of people create this kind of collage titled with a job, and underneath written the job description in different perspectives. It’s getting popular anywhere in the Facebook, that’s why I decided to create one.

Previously I was a teacher and I’m going to become a teacher in the near future. So, I created a teacher’s, not a piece, but series of teacher’s job in different angles.

What do you guys think? Do I make sense?

Haha, there’s just my little piece of thinking. I will explain the rationale of my masterpieces in my following post. Some of you might disagree with mine, never mind, just make it fun.

You can also create your own one and share it out!!

ˈaɪ wəl ˈweɪt fər ˈjuː

Today is the valentine's day.

Sometimes, I am quite jealous of those couples who blossom with love and relationship. Frankly speaking, I do have a little bit of thirst for girls…. erhmm, for a romance though I am a believer of ‘singlism/MLLism’ (That’s fine if you don’t understand the terms I bullshitted lol).

Based on my experience, I found that being a SINGLE, you have more mindfulness to achieve anything since you will not get diverted or disturbed by your relationship stuff. No offensive to all lovers, this is just my personal opinion~

Of course, I cannot be a single forever as looking a soulmate is a life mission which must be accomplished for every one of us unless you want to lead a monastic life in temple.

Nevertheless, at this moment, I have no initiative to put an end to my single life, but just WAITING instead. I know it sounds very passive~ but, actually waiting is not an absence of action, rather it is a timing.

Wait for a right time.

I'm waiting for the right time to act, for the right principles and in the right way.

Standing and waiting for you is a power.

I'll keep counting the minutes until you come.

I know, the wait is long, but my dream of you does not end.

ˈaɪ wəl ˈweɪt fər ˈjuː
~I will wait for you~

Desperate

I dare not to imagine what is going to happen when I become an English language teacher 18 months later with such language proficiency.

Desperate is the correct word to describe my feeling right now. I’m saying so because sometimes I really find obstacle in constructing a complete sentence. I even doubt the word/phrase I use whether it is appropriate, that’s why I keep looking dictionary or thesaurus or even google translate then only able to construct a proper paragraph like…. this BLOG~

Seriously, I lack of confidence in using the language, especially when I’m structuring a formal writing.

In fact, social networking websites, particularly FACEBOOK, have changed the way people communicate in writing. All grammar and language rules have been neglected and being viewed as ‘stereotype and old-fashioned’ which slow down our (writing) speed. That’s why, we can see thousands of acronyms (in Chinese, we call it Martian language) appear elsewhere in Facebook or mobile texting.

A person like me, who has no strong basis in English language but poisoned by Martian’s some more, has gradually lost his formal writing skill. If I were not going to become an English language teacher, I would definitely be illiterate to formal English in few years later.

Valentine is around the corner, but what I feel desperate for, not a girl, but my English. LoL~

Please correct my language mistake if you have seen any in my blog. Thanks and have a nice day^^

Overwhelmed by assignment!

Finally, I managed to find the main difference between life in Teacher-training College (IPG) and university’s life; I think you might not agree with what I’m going to say next, but based on my experience (though it’s only a week), I find it is very true.

Believe it or not, assignment in IPG is much more than university’s!!

I don’t want to grumble about it since I am a person who goes with the flow easily. But, I have to say that life in IPG is more HERTIC than my previous Uni-life, I’m really hard to imagine that how do those PISMP undergraduate get through this half-a-decade (5.5 years) teacher training course.

Undoubtedly, without a great initiative and a strong aspiration, that’s impossible to achieve an education degree.

So, becoming a teacher isn’t simple as what we used to think. Here I salute to those who are taking PISMP, you’re a Man!

My house/coursemates were preparing for presentation. Hectic~!!

So far, i find this is the easiest task ever. Not art, but SCIENCE~!! lol
For this semester, I need to attend 10 subjects (30 credit hours per week!!) if including extracurricular activities which is JUST STANDING under that burning hot sun like a fool. That’s absolutely crazy when I recalled the most credit hours I had during my uni-life was 21 only!

Of course, the more credit hours you get, the more assignment you need to suffer with. Just only a week, I’ve already been overwhelmed by assignment. Nonetheless, I’m not going to give in so easily, and I wish to get rid of my laziness and all those bad habits which have been implanted in my mind when I was a temporary teacher.

I shall overwhelm all of my badness and hope that everything goes smoothly and perfectly. I’ll keep my finger crossed^^

Hanfu is in Jitra now!!

The seventeenth century was a tragic century.

1644, it was an unforgettable year for Chinese when Manchu intruders had begun their brutal invasion of China. In the year 1662, Emperor Yongli, the last emperor of Ming China, was executed and it indicates the total fallen of Chinese empire.

Those Manchu intruders were generally similar with 13th century's Mongolian (the Yellow Peril), they were kind of nomadic race and very aggressive to agricultural civilization around them, such as China. Unfortunately, the declining of the Ming Empire had given the Manchus a chance to dominate China. In order to conquer China effectively, the Manchu rulers had launched 'Queue Order' to force every Chinese adopt the Manchu custom, included their wearing, therefore a lot of Chinese culture has been devastated since that time.

Our Hanfu, which had been worn for millennia, was perished in the hands of the Manchu rulers.

Sigh.

What a saddening story~ T.T

Nevertheless, after 350 years of struggling, our Hanfu finally reappeared in….. Jitra~~!!

Guess what? I wore it during my college’s Cap Goh Mei celebration (元宵) and after that; I went for shopping with wearing this Hanfu~

I was wearing a Hanfu while David's Samfu/Magua isn't our Chinese but Manchurian.
We took this picture purposely for comparison, please don't get confused ya~
In fact, Hanfu has being revived for this decade and it is becoming a new trend of wearing style when it’s getting more and more youngsters to accept our traditional cloth – Hanfu.

I believe our ancestor might be very pleased if they knew it.

Real Chinese

What do you mean by ‘REAL’? The meaning isn’t merely ‘actual or genuine’, but it can be also interpreted as ‘majestic or royal’. I preferred the latter meaning.

Frankly, I wish to be a Chinese Language teacher because I love Chinese culture eagerly though ended up with English instead. Of course, I feel disappointed at the beginning.

But, after reflecting for several times (yeah, this is called ‘intrapersonal intelligence’), I find myself are lucky and comfortable to be English teacher as I need not to force myself to teach our kids those ‘unreal Chinese culture’ which I myself am absolutely not accepting.

I don’t want to mislead my children.

I am a TRADITONAL character lover and dislike those distorted so-called-simplified character but simplified character has been prescribed in our syllabus. Another thing is Cheongsam or Samfu ISN’T belonged to Chinese (It’s from Manchurian istead), but unfortunately a lot of Chinese teachers have no knowing about this.

If I saw my student answering me Cheongsam isn’t Chinese, shall I mark it as wrong for the sake of the syllabus?

No offensive but it’s true. Our Chinese culture is being severely contaminated and sadly no any revising is seen so far.

How heavy my feeling is if I teach Chinese x.x~ Luckily, it won’t happen. Anyway, I am not going let this situation last but I will try my very best to spread our real Chinese culture by using English since it is free from the syllabus. Hehe, nice plan huh^^

Share this video to all of you, they are a real Chinese family indeed. Salute to this Ong family. (Malay subtitle is provided in this video)

For your information, our Chinese traditional cloth is called HANFU instead of cheongsam/samfu. This reason why we hardly find Hanfu elsewhere currently because… I will tell you in my following post, stay tuned~

That’s it for today’s English brushing. Thank you and good day.

Warm greeting from little princess

Teaching is absolutely a happy job.

What is the happiest moment for a teacher? You guess.

“How are you, teacher?”

A sudden call, a surprise greeting from your student may make you full of the joys of spring for whole day. It is true, at least it is applicable to me.

I received a call when I was having my dinner just now. Guess what? It is from my student! What a lovely surprise! I never expect my former students call me. I was really stunned when I heard a soft and sweet voice. Oh, my God, it can’t be…

It is from my dear little PRINCESS^^ (I specially term my former 3P students ‘little prince and princess’, indeed in my heart, they are dear little princess and prince.)

My sweet memory with little princess and prince:
I brought this photo to Jitra, and pasting it right in front of me.
She greeted me and told me what have been happened in the class so far. Then she wished me getting good result in IPDA. We chitchatted and laughed. So nice I am to have such kind of student.

Honestly, I think this is the warmest greeting came from my hometown Ampang and it definitely touched my heart. I wish all of my dear prince and princess grow up happily and looking forward to meet you all in the coming holiday.

See you dear~
