Dumbledore died (a fan art in the left, so kind and gracious look of him). Paying my condolences over here. Finally i had finished the sixth installment and it took me only 6 days time. Comment on this book?? Emm... when i was reading this book halfway, i felt a bit of disappointment and more bored than my early expectation, this is because i expects more fighting or battle and some thrilling as well in the story, but the more than three quarter of the story flowing as 'normal' as the fifth. (the fifth at least have some confrontations between Harry's gang and the antagonist, made it more exciting.) The sixth installment have a large scale of telling the growing experience of Voldemort, something like telling the biography of Hitler or Stalin... haha, anyway, this episode given a very clear idea about how did the Dark Lord shape form the beginning of a naughty teenage through successful Hogwart's study life until he turned into bloody murderer and the most terror enemy to the wizarding world.
From the story of Voldemort, we apparently found out from the very beginning, everything that he did, he plotted actually to avoid from mortality or even wanted to transcend the mortality. From the first episode, he attempting to steal the sorcerer's stone until the sixth book telling that he made plenty of soul fragments to guarantee his life, this clearly indicating that he fear of death of himself though he had already made a lot of people dead. His personality of fearing death and power crazy is similar to those tyrannic ruler, for example the first emperor of China, Shihuangdi, had tried numerous methods to make himself immortal or even godness. Well, i daresay that noone has no fear of death, everyone desire to life, wishfully forever, that's why a lot of religion teachers appear throughout the history, spending all of their life tried to get rid of death. But, unfortunately, life is transient, everything is impermanent, everyone born to die, only how long the time taken. Sirius Black died, Dumbledore died, and still got 2 people 'will' die in the final installment. Guess who???
I had made my prophecy, one unquestionably is Voldemort, the other, most probably is Snape. But i also have to do some 'preparation' to receive any news of good characters died, haha. Ok, let's talking something about the sixth episode: Harry Potter and the half-blood prince. The prince, frankly to tell you guys, at the beginning, i thought that half-blood prince is Voldemort, this is because the teenage Voldemort always consider he is much superior than people since he is heir of Slytherin so this is natural he name himself 'prince', and he also can't deny the fact that he is a half-blood. In addiction, an information given in the beginning of the story, telling that the prince's textbook has roughly 50 years and the whole story also telling Voldemort's story. Under those circumstances, therefore, i thought the prince is Voldemort. But, the identity of prince hasn't been revealed (Dumbledore didn't mention too) until the story near to ending, suddenly, surprisingly, after Snape murdered Dumbledore and some fightings, Shape declared himself as the half-blood prince, and give a bit of explanation, then ran away. Aaaarrrgghh??? Sounds far-fetched and a bit unreasonable and unnatural to match the book title since most of the part is telling Voldemort story, but not Snape story.
Dumbledore paid his strong faith and confidence in Snape, paid his protection to Snape from any disbelief, but ironically, in the end, he also paid his precious life to Snape, killed by Snape, by a deadly killing curse. Sigh. Just wonder why Dumbledores so trusted Snape? What's the real meaning of Dumbledore's last word ("Severus..... please")? Was Dumbledore's will to be killed by Snape? or Dumbledore want to sacrifice himself to make Voldemort more believe in Snape? Which side's Snape belonged to? Will Dumbledore return?? or (most daring hypothesis) Is Dumbledore acting to be died to confuse Voldemort?? (Impossible... = =")
Moreover, some love stories among the main characters undoubtedly adding some colors into the story, made it more interesting and more humanistic. Anyhow, the fate of Hogwart still remains unknown. Will it close next year? Will Harry give up his study and travel for the sake of retaliation? Will Ron and Hermione accompany him? No doubt, 721 will answer it. Looking forward to the final installment: Harry Potter and the deadly hollow. In the name of Merlin...
After all, to the well-organised mind, death is but the next great adventure. - Albus Dumbledore
