If Arctic Ice Melted....

If Arctic Ice all melted, what will be happened to our dear Santa Claus which living on the North pole all the time?? Share this greenpeace video for you guys...

Santa Claus will definitely be Homeless!!! So pity, dear Mr. Santa...

Here is another greenpeace video, also telling about glacier melting.

This glacier have been here for countless generations, and now it's melting. If we don't stop this, the sea level is arising and million of people will be in danger. I won't be here when that's happen. But, you and your children...

The Upsala Glacier in Argentina was once one of the largest glaciers in the world. Now it's almost just a memory.

Since the emission of greenhouse increase worldwide, this turning our global warming into global heating (later, probably become global burning... oh god), so our ice of north south pole inevitably melting everywhere, and fast!!!

Let's look into the fact, our once breathtaking Mt Kilimanjaro ice cap may be melted entirely by 2015.

Glacier National Park of Montana, United States could disappear completely by 2030. The disappearing glaciers of Glacier National Park serve as powerful symbols for what is happening throughout the West: higher temperatures, less snowpack, and less water.

Thinning and shrinking ice cap and sea ice with thawing permafrost is being occurred in Arctic cycle.

The greatest crisis ever for the entire mankind: Ice Melting everywhere!!!

Ladies and gentlemen, for the sake of giving our dear Santa Claus a wonderful icy home, let's us join our force to reduce our carbon footprint in order to solve this global warming problem!!! So let's start living GREEN!!!

Was Jesus a Vege?

A lot of people believe that buddhism is not far away from vegetarianism, actually only buddhist monk and certain sincere laymen who practice mahayana buddhism relying strictly on vegetarianism. Well, let's talk about Christianity, was Christ a Vegetarian? Although i am a buddhist, but i like to read scriptures of other religion besides buddhism's, ok, this is what i found in Christian's Holy Bible:

Genesis 1.29: Then God said, “I now give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the entire earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food.

Genesis 9.4: "But you must not eat meat that has its lifeblood still in it."

Romans 14.21: It is good neither to eat flesh, nor to drink wine, nor any thing whereby thy brother stumbleth, or is offended, or is made weak.

Was Jesus a Vegetarian? I think so, the messages of Jesus is love and compassion, naturally Jesus never want to know that billions of animals live miserable lives and die violent, bloody deaths in factory farms and slaughterhouses. Therefore, no matter we are Buddhist or Christian, when we sit down to eat, we can add to the level of violence, misery, and death in the world, or we can respect the mother nature or creation of god with a vegetarian diet.

A vegetarian diet is good for your health and spares animals unimaginable suffering and violence, and of course will purify our mind and soul.

Some Vege Terminology

Definitions of some other confusing terms

Vegan "Chicken" Nuggets

Semi-Vegetarian: Eats less meat than average person. See also PSEUDO-VEGETARIAN.

Pseudo-Vegetarian: Claims to be vegetarian, but isn't. Often used by VEGETARIANS to describe SEMI-VEGETARIANs, and PESCETARIANs.

Pescetarian: Similar to VEGETARIAN, but also consumes fish. (often is a person avoiding factory-farming techniques...) See also PSEUDO-VEGETARIAN.

Fruitarian: Same as VEGAN, but only eats foods that don't kill the plant (apples can be picked without killing plant, carrots cannot).

Vegetable Consumer: Means anyone who consumes vegetables. Not necessarily a VEGETARIAN.

Herbivore: Mainly eats grass or plants. Not necessarily a VEGETARIAN.

Plant-Eater: Mainly eats plants. Not necessarily a VEGETARIAN.

Nonmeat-Eater: Does not eat meat. Most definitions do not consider fish, fowl or seafood to be meat. Animal fats and oils, bonemeal and skin are not considered meat.

Kosher: Made according to a complex set of Jewish dietary laws. Does not imply VEGAN in any case. Does not imply OVO-LACTO VEGETARIAN in any case. Even KOSHER products containing milk products may contain some types of animals which are not considered 'meat'.

Pareve/Parve: One category in KOSHER dietary laws. Made without meat or milk products or their derivatives. Eggs and true fish are pareve, shellfish are not.

Nondairy: Does not have enough percentage of milkfat to be called dairy. May actually contain milk or milk derivatives.

Nonmeat: Made without meat. May include eggs, milk, cheese. Sometimes even included animal fats, seafood, fish, fowl.

Better Score after Vege...

Believe or not, this is a proven truth. A person who practices vegetarianism tends to perform better at examination. I was the example, vegetarian life really made me smarter during my second semester of first year. Share something with you guys about my university life, i have been staying in the Eighth Residential College (hostel) of UM for my entire first year, and my hostel is providing food for every residents daily. In my first semester, i followed 'the normal' food style, taken meat (chicken, fish, and other seafood etc) everyday, every meal, at that moment, it's really made me suffering all the time because i'm not really like eating meat, especially cooked in spicy way. Frankly, those food didn't seem any nutritious for me, it's totally unhealthy, so i decided to give up being a meat-eater, applied for vegetarian food in the second semester.

Guess what? i scored a better result in my second semester, a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 3.75 compared to previous meat-eating semester CGPA of 3.46. Well, you will probably say that this is result of my diligence, not vegetarianism, but in fact in my second semester, i joined more activities, such as Tzu Chi youth, crosstalk 相声, debate etc, than first semester, and made me insufficient of study time. I thought it was for sure that i would obtained worse mark in second semester, fortunately, my vegetarianism did help, made my brain work efficiently during my second semester. Yea, i have proven the theory "vegetarian make me smarter" through myself, therefore, i will go on being a part-vegetarian (means eat meat in certain occasions) and reduce my meat intake, for the sake of my health and my mind.

My mum experience....

My mum turning 50 next years, but, for my point of view, she looks much younger than her actual age, and she seldom use those cosmestic or skin-care product, thanks to her 10 years vegetarianism life.

In my conclusion, vegetarianism will definitely make you healthier, smarter, and of course prettier. Let's vege...
