Why Vege?

Why you want to eat me??

13 reasons not to eat meat, consider becoming vegetarian or vegan.

A USDA (United States Department of Agriculture) study found that 98% of broiler chicken carcasses had detectable levels of E. Coli, indicating fecal contamination. Meat is dirty!!

Because it isn't fair. Killing other animals is an act of exploitation and violence, and we do it just because we have the power to.

Because no one should make a living by killing.

Being vegan or vegetarian: reverse risk of heart disease, lifespan 6 - 10 years longer than meat eater, 9 times likely to become obese, and 40 % less likely to get cancer.

Studies have shown that vegetarian kids grow taller and higher IQ than their classmates, and they are at reduced risk for heart disease, obesity, diabetes, and other diseases in long run.

Because the animals are forced to live in terrible condition. They are often deprived of food and water for weeks. They are crowded so tightly that many of them never spread their wings or run.

Because Mad cow disease is still present in the world. Millions of animals bound for your dinner are still being fed the remains of others.

Because more than half of all water used in the US is used to raise animal for food. A totally vegetarian diet requires 300 galleons of water per day, while a meat-eating diet requires more than 4000 galleons of water per day!!!

Because these animals feel pain.... just like you and I do. And they scream too...

Because no mother want to see her babies die in front of her... No matter what species she is.

Because the grain used to feed animals could be used to feed hungry people. 70% of grain in the US is used to feed livestock. And 80% of farmland is used to raise them.

Because they don't want to die...

And because meat is gross... it's someone else's flesh, someone else's blood, someone else's life!!

So next time you sit down and eat meat, remember that what you're chowing down on used to breath, have emotions, and was afraid...

All the words above copied from this great video...

Vegetarian is always the best!!!

So ladies and gentlemen, stop killing animal, stop eating meat. But shame to tell you that i haven't be a full vegetarian yet, but in the following posts, i will share some experiences of being a vegetarian and some vegetarian info regarding the environment crisis. Do you believe that being a vegetarian or vegan is one of the solutions to save our planet? Tell you later...

Save the Islands

If one day, your dear grandson ask you why he couldn't find the scenic tropical island, Maldives in world atlas, what are you going to answer him? Last few months, Australian environmentalist warned that the global warming which caused by mass emission of greenhouse gases have been rapidly increasing the sea level around the world. Therefore, currently the pacific ocean's Tuvalu and Kiribati along with Hindi ocean's Maldives are facing a very difficult situation and getting more vulnerable to global climate change, in the near future, three of them will be swallowed by tides and completely disappear under rising seas. Oh my god...

These picturesque islands are sinking!!! From the top: Kiribati, Tuvalu and Maldives.

Ladies and gentlemen, if we (Malaysian people) still think that we have no any connection with this coming catastrophe, then you are completely wrong! A report named Overall Result of the Climate Change Performance Index 2007 released by a environmentalist group called German Watch stated that Sweden, UK, Denmark are the countries which effectively preventing the greenhouse effect, however, my beloved country -- Malaysia, have shown her spirit of 'malaysia boleh' again make our nation ranked the second place counted from bottom, so every nation of malaysia are the chief culprit behind the global warming and rising sea. It can be seen that our nation's environment awareness are very very weak.

Currently, our nation generally still maintaining this kind of thinking, i.e. 'none of my business, other people will do it' thinking, in addition with lacking of public conscience, causing lots of littering, open burning, emit smoke improperly occurred across the nation, making the air, water severely contaminated. Besides that, as the future pillar of the nation, most of the undergraduate and youth are indifferent toward environmental problem which getting more serious, and ignorance of the importance of recycling. For example, great number of used paper have being 'destroyed' after final exam instead of recycling, they have no knowledge of producing a ton of paper needs 24 big trees. Moreover, after came back from shopping, lots of plastic bags are thrown, they don't know plastic bags need 100 years to be bio-degraded. The fact can't be denied, under current backdrop of utilitarianism 功利主义, the phenomenon of young people pursuing status, wealth, branded products and regardless of environmental deteriorating problems can be easily understood.

Other than that, the overconsumption of toilet papers and other home paper products is seriously threatening the world forest. This is not exaggeration, this is the truth. WWF stated than more than 270 thousand of trees flush away from toilet bowl. Therefore, human material life is getting luxurious but the price is the mother Earth is getting devastated. Frankly, this is not worth at all.

The main causes of global warming is the inclining of density of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere and this make the globe surface become hotter and hotter. Greenhouse gases include water vapor, carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide, and ozone. According to UN statistic, 100 years later, the temperature of Earth will increase 1.4 to 5.8 degree Celsius, this seems like insignificant changes, but will bring enormous negative effect to humanity and even entire Earth ecosystem. The effects, besides melt the glacier of both poles, the most horrible is average sea level will rise more 6 meter, at that moment, Hollywood science-fiction film "the day after tomorrow" will become realistic, giant tides will swallow most of islands and coastal cities. If those catastrophes unfortunately happen, there are no sorry for human, because this is human deserve.

Will it come?

We are not last generation of mankind, for the sake of our next generation, for sake of could tell our grandson what's Maldives is, government, society, every member of this planet have to join forces to protect our dearest mother nature from being destroy. Don't underestimate the power of individual, because our little changes will change the colour of our mountain, our river and our Earth. But, Green or Black? All depends on your single mind...

Be Responsible, China

If you live in China, you will possibly have greater chance to make yourself despair and even vulnerable to death, please don't blame me before i give my explanation. Excluded from those natural catastrophes and terrible traffic in China, if you live in China, it means you only have little extent of speech freedom, if carelessly speak out any 'counterrevolution' term, like redress june 4 massacre or appeal for falun gong etc, surely you will get 'missing in action' and be put in jail for the rest of your life. No freedom of association, make you be individualistic and introvert. No election, make you feel hopeless to change the nation destiny. No demonstration allowed or else you might find your body killed under the tank. In addition, fake food, fake product or even fake medicine, greatly endanger your health, and some more extremely high cost for seeking a doctor will definitely make you life unprotected. Besides that, the most horrible is the basic needs for human being such as clean water, air also getting less and less in mainland China. But, you would say that 'well, china has high economic growth, high GDP', but GDP can be eaten? Is everyone of chinese people benefit from high GDP? Obviously not...

Continue the topic yesterday, chinese environment problem, nowadays, is becoming the hot topic of international major media press, apparently have given a negative impression to rest of world, but sadly to say that action that chinese government taken still quite less and ineffective. Show some news: The most polluted cities of the world, according to CNN, the World Bank recently examined 20 of the most severely polluted cities in the world. Sixteen of these cities are located in China, and Linfen City 临汾, in Shanxi Province, was cited as the world's most polluted (dirtiest) city. And from Yazhouzhoukan (Asia Weekly Magazine) also reported that 400 million of chinese citizens living with severe polluted air while 300 million of farmers have no well qualified farm land to farm!! And most terrible and saddest news is traffic police of Beijing only have life expectancy 平均寿命 of 48!! Oh, God bless them richly...

Well, the policy of chinese economy, since lack of public supervision for long time (i think is from 1949...), and lead by greedy autocratic regime, make chinese energy consumption less efficient and high misspending. But, who care! Central government only care GDP, local officer only care promotion, people forced to care nothing, if who care, who will be sent to jail. Famous environmental activist Tan Kai 谭凯 was an example. He was accused for 'illegally procuring state secrets 非法获取国家机密' (Lame!! Environmental problem is state secret?! then 1.3 billion of chinese should sent to jail!!) and sentenced to 1.5 year's imprisonment just because he founded an environment group "Green Watch 绿色观察" to supervise chinese environmental problem. This is absolutely unjust, oh yes, plus another factor, china is unjust society, and of course will make yourself despair and even vulnerable to death.

The main culprit of this deteriorating environment problem is Deng Xiaoping, thanks to his theory "let (CPC) be rich first, any problem left to next generation", this is an extremely selfish thinking!! Next generation? Our son, our grandson have to pay for their father's price?! I only heard give our next generation a better and green world, i really never heard before "left our next generation a dirty and messy world", but now i heard it, naturally undoubtedly from a irresponsible autocratic goverment, chinese communist regime.

New 'China Threat'

China deteriorating environmental 'disaster' (i think disaster is more appropriate) is another version of 'China threat' besides military and economy booming, or a new 'yellow peril 黄祸' to the world. If Chinese communist regime still refuse to hold a firm responsibility to reduce the environmental crisis, no doubt, china will become a global nuisance for entire humanity.

Nevertheless, except communist regime, majority of chinese people still have moral conscience, they knew environmental problem will harm the world and their next generation. So, they are doing something great to save their motherland, for example Greenpeace China.

Global Nuisance

Mainland china, at least from my personal view, has been getting less and less suitable for human living (surviving), previously i used to have a wish: I hope i could live in my ancestor land of China until the end of the day or 'replant' my family bloodline at china due to my extreme nationalism plague in my body. Now, no thanks, no way! I rather live in Africa than back to china.

Well, although china have achieved an enormous growth in economy (the so-called Rising of dragon), lots of people including me still don't believe in this 'peaceful and powerful' dragon. This dragon is dangerous and..... 'weak' as well, what you called the next superpower WEAK!? Yes, china is weak. Not in military or economy (neither of them is criteria to measure the power of a country.) A strong and successful nation(or anything) always depends on these 3 important elements: Right time, right place, or course right people (plus doing right thing), chinese saying 天时地利人和. Short way to say: Environment and people are 2 significant pillars to hold up the country, unfortunately china has little of them.

Last year, a magazine Businessweek titled "the dirty secret of china's economy" uncovered the horrible truth regarding chinese environmental problem. From the article saying, china economic development is rapid, but the deterioration of chinese ecosystem and environment is even faster than economy pace. And a lot of No1 found in china, there are No1 of haze density, acid rain, contamination of river and lake, massive deforestation and so on so forth. Unbelievably, the rate of desertification is higher than rate of GDP. An estimation from World Bank saying 70% of china's rivers are severely contaminated and more 300 thousand died who direct caused by environmental problem.

Shanghai at risk!! Sandstorm attack!!!

Recently, news saying that China 'successfully' overtake US in greenhouse gas emission as world biggest greenhouse gas emitter, another No1 title for dear China. Congrats!! But, naturally, china refuse to admit it, and even critic 'Western bloc' try to slow down or interrupt china's rising, and ask US and other developed nations should take responsible first to reduce greenhouse gases. Well, US and developed countries definitely have to hold the responsibility, but it doesn't mean china can do it later. You murdered 1 people, and other murdered 2 people, it doesn't mean you are no guilt. Same theory. Both US and china, plus the rest of world must work together to prevent environmental crisis, we are children of mother earth, and our mother only have one, and she is dying.

But, the main difference between US and china, is US never make their homeland a rubbish centre, US (government) dare not to pollute their rivers and lakes. On the contrary, Chinese communist regime dare to do it. For the sake of promotion to higher rank, for the sake of GDP progress, environment and public health are not their business. GDP is everything. Any people or NGO try to protect environment can be viewed as public enemy, any non-government 's research and supervision on environment is strictly forbidden. What the ...!?! I will continue the issue in my following post.

Save China

Price of progress??

Oh my god, ladies and gentlemen, look at this satellite photo, what have you seen? What do you think right now? What words arise in your mind? Sad? Furious? Shocked? Terrified? Numb? Despair? Our ancestor land, China have been transforming into the next Sahara Desert in next decade!!! Am i kidding? No, i am not, i am telling the truth, China is going to get doomed if no immediate action to be taken to prevent this coming catastrophe!! You must be thought i am repeating the clean water crisis of Wuxi or Xiamen's PX stuff, yes, so do i, but i daresay that both of these issues aren't isolated cases, in fact, there are only a tiny tip of gigantic iceberg. Chinese contamination (especially water contamination in several major rivers of China) and desertification problem is getting worsen and worsen, it's deteriorating so rapid in these 20 years. This is a global crisis, we can't just close one eye or don't care of it or make pursuing GDP progress as excuses. The major enemy of China, is neither US nor Taiwan, but CONTAMINATION!!! If chinese authority refuge to take it seriously, china will only be left sand and dust in next 30 years.

I was completely shocked when i looked at this photo. Now, sad sad saaadd.

Our mother river -- Yellow river 黄河 is bleeding, her sons feel nothing...

Sooner or later?.... Heaven knows...

Mother of Tibetan people -- Himalayan mountain range also facing a great menace. Melting of glacier due to massive climate change.

Besides that, 2 new videos regarding june 4 are released. Guys, please have a look. Ok, that's all my little contribution to june 4. Case closed.

Environment Crisis and Democracy

In the recent week, several regions of mainland China have severe environment crisis outbreaks which threatening chinese civilians at a great extent, especially Wuxi 无锡 and Xiamen 厦门. Both of these cities have entered a red-alert critical situation due to horrible environment crisis, you will absolutely terrified when you heard one of scenic lakes of China, Taihu, have been seriously contaminated and caused more than a millions of Wuxi people lacked of drinkable water. Well, i was mad too, and completely shocked when i looking on those disgusting photos. Oh my god, my pity Taihu.

I visited Wuxi and Taihu last summer, and petrified by extremely picturesque scene (possibly polluted place was not in tourism place...). And fishes of taihu were delicious too (hopefully the lake haven't been contaminated). But now....

Ouch, disgusting!!! Booming of blue green algae causing a massive killing of aquatic organisms.

Guys, you must watch this video!!! it tell out whole story regarding wuxi water crisis. SAD

Besides Wuxi, another island city of china is also facing an environmental crisis, but fortunately it haven't happened yet or not the fate of entire city will receive the same consequences of Hiroshima 6 August 1945, or even more horrible. Xiamen, last week residents of the city held a demonstration to protest against a chemical factory which planned to build beside residential area. Residents voiced out their furious opposition to construction of the factory which has been approved by local government, they walked on the street and shouted "No PX, protect Xiamen". PX is abbreviation of P-Xylene, this chemical substances is highly dangerous to human health, is one of the dreadful cancer causing agents and probably lethal to baby or children. The situation just like building a nuke reactor beside your home, and what will you do!?!?

Have to take note that, this demonstration was the first demonstration since 1989 Tiananmen democratic movement. Well, environment crisis have been waking up people democracy in china, it's a wonderful starting. But. Sigh. In an autocratic regime like mainland china, this kind of peaceful procession is forbidden, and maybe will be viewed as disturbing harmonious society 颠覆和谐社会 or even counterrevolution, what's a ridiculous words!!! And, this is expected, in the following days of this splendid democratic movement, the whole city trapped into a white terror condition, the authority started to "take action" and news reported that the armed forces exist every corner of the city. I wonder the tank will enter the city, haha, probably warships surrounding the island city and plus some nuke submarine waiting for mission. Sigh. Sad.

SUPPORT XIAMEN RESIDENTS PROTECT THEIR LOVELY HOMELAND, AND STOP THE PX!!!

Victims of Communism Remembered

Remarks by George W. Bush

June 12, 2007

Thank you all for coming. Please be seated. Dr. Edwards, thanks for your kind words. Congressman Lantos -- no better friend to freedom, by the way; Congressman Rohrabacher, the same. Members of the Czech and Hungarian parliaments; ambassadors; distinguished guests; and more importantly, the survivors of Communist oppression, I'm honored to join you on this historic day. (Applause.)

And here in the company of men and women who resisted evil and helped bring down an empire, I proudly accept the Victims of Communism Memorial on behalf of the American people. (Applause.)

The 20th century will be remembered as the deadliest century in human history. And the record of this brutal era is commemorated in memorials across this city. Yet, until now, our Nation's Capital had no monument to the victims of imperial Communism, an ideology that took the lives of an estimated 100 million innocent men, women and children. So it's fitting that we gather to remember those who perished at Communism's hands, and dedicate this memorial that will enshrine their suffering and sacrifice in the conscience of the world.

Building this memorial took more than a decade of effort, and its presence in our capital is a testament to the passion and determination of two distinguished Americans: Lev Dobriansky, whose daughter Paula is here -- (applause) -- give your dad our best. And Dr. Lee Edwards. (Applause.) They faced setbacks and challenges along the way, yet they never gave up, because in their hearts, they heard the voices of the fallen crying out: "Remember us."

These voices cry out to all, and they're legion. The sheer numbers of those killed in Communism's name are staggering, so large that a precise count is impossible. According to the best scholarly estimate, Communism took the lives of tens of millions of people in China and the Soviet Union, and millions more in North Korea, Cambodia, Africa, Afghanistan, Vietnam, Eastern Europe, and other parts of the globe.

Behind these numbers are human stories of individuals with families and dreams whose lives were cut short by men in pursuit of totalitarian power. Some of Communism's victims are well-known. They include a Swedish diplomat named Raoul Wallenberg, who saved 100,000 Jews from the Nazis, only to be arrested on Stalin's orders and sent to Moscow's Lubyanka Prison, where he disappeared without a trace. They include a Polish priest named Father Popieluszko, who made his Warsaw church a sanctuary for the Solidarity underground, and was kidnaped, and beaten, and drowned in the Vitsula by the secret police.

The sacrifices of these individuals haunt history -- and behind them are millions more who were killed in anonymity by Communism's brutal hand. They include innocent Ukrainians starved to death in Stalin's Great Famine; or Russians killed in Stalin's purges; Lithuanians and Latvians and Estonians loaded onto cattle cars and deported to Arctic death camps of Soviet Communism. They include Chinese killed in the Great Leap Forward and the Cultural Revolution; Cambodians slain in Pol Pot's Killing Fields; East Germans shot attempting to scale the Berlin Wall in order to make it to freedom; Poles massacred in the Katyn Forest; and Ethiopians slaughtered in the "Red Terror"; Miskito Indians murdered by Nicaragua's Sandinista dictatorship; and Cuban balseros who drowned escaping tyranny. We'll never know the names of all who perished, but at this sacred place, Communism's unknown victims will be consecrated to history and remembered forever.

We dedicate this memorial because we have an obligation to those who died, to acknowledge their lives and honor their memory. The Czech writer Milan Kundera once described the struggle against Communism as "the struggle of memory against forgetting." Communist regimes did more than take their victims' lives; they sought to steal their humanity and erase their memory. With this memorial, we restore their humanity and we reclaim their memory. With this memorial, we say of Communism's innocent and anonymous victims, these men and women lived and they shall not be forgotten. (Applause.)

We dedicate this memorial because we have an obligation to future generations to record the crimes of the 20th century and ensure they're never repeated. In this hallowed place we recall the great lessons of the Cold War: that freedom is precious and cannot be taken for granted; that evil is real and must be confronted; and that given the chance, men commanded by harsh and hateful ideologies will commit unspeakable crimes and take the lives of millions.

It's important that we recall these lessons because the evil and hatred that inspired the death of tens of millions of people in the 20th century is still at work in the world. We saw its face on September the 11th, 2001. Like the Communists, the terrorists and radicals who attacked our nation are followers of a murderous ideology that despises freedom, crushes all dissent, has expansionist ambitions and pursues totalitarian aims. Like the Communists, our new enemies believe the innocent can be murdered to serve a radical vision. Like the Communists, our new enemies are dismissive of free peoples, claiming that those of us who live in liberty are weak and lack the resolve to defend our free way of life. And like the Communists, the followers of violent Islamic radicalism are doomed to fail. (Applause.) By remaining steadfast in freedom's cause, we will ensure that a future American President does not have to stand in a place like this and dedicate a memorial to the millions killed by the radicals and extremists of the 21st century.

We can have confidence in the power of freedom because we've seen freedom overcome tyranny and terror before. Dr. Edwards said President Reagan went to Berlin. He was clear in his statement. He said, "tear down the wall," and two years later the wall fell. And millions across Central and Eastern Europe were liberated from unspeakable oppression. It's appropriate that on the anniversary of that speech, that we dedicate a monument that reflects our confidence in freedom's power.

The men and women who designed this memorial could have chosen an image of repression for this space, a replica of the wall that once divided Berlin, or the frozen barracks of the Gulag, or a killing field littered with skulls. Instead, they chose an image of hope -- a woman holding a lamp of liberty. She reminds us of the victims of Communism, and also of the power that overcame Communism.

Like our Statue of Liberty, she reminds us that the flame for freedom burns in every human heart, and that it is a light that cannot be extinguished by the brutality of terrorists or tyrants. And she reminds us that when an ideology kills tens of millions of people, and still ends up being vanquished, it is contending with a power greater than death. (Applause.) She reminds us that freedom is the gift of our Creator, freedom is the birthright of all humanity, and in the end, freedom will prevail. (Applause.)

I thank each of you who made this memorial possible for your service in freedom's cause. I thank you for your devotion to the memory of those who lost their lives to Communist terror. May the victims of Communism rest in peace. May those who continue to suffer under Communism find their freedom. And may the God who gave us liberty bless this great memorial and all who come to visit her.

God bless. (Applause.)

Moment of Calm

Kept your mouth shut for 5 days!!! For my fellow debate comrades, they rather keep their stomach starve for 5 days and also don't want to let their throat inactivated for 5 hours. Great to tell you all, i made it, i did it, i din voice more than 10 sentences for 5 days. Was i mad? you thought i became introvert, self-detained in my room for 5 days time, didn't you? Haha, i'm not lying to you, this is truth, not voiced out anything for 5 days, from 2 june to yesterday, 6 june. Yup, i had taken a chan/zen meditation program 禅修 at Fo Guang Shan, Dongzen temple 佛光山东禅寺 last saturday. Honest to say, it's really a wonderful experience for me, i never believe that i could able to make it, no talk for 5 days, reduce your unwanted thinkings to least, and most horrible thing to normal people including myself, that is MEDITATION MORE THAN 8 HOURS everyday, i meant 5 days of the program. Well, i always fear most of meditation, as have to sitting there like a statue for plentiful of minutes, but the reason i took participation of this zen program was... not because i aim for enlightenment or other metaphysic goals or responsibilities, just merely because i got the wrong information about the program. Before i went there, i expected the program is something like learning some lessons concerning zen or copying notes and so on. Out of blue, it wasn't like that, it was an intensive meditation 'training' in multitude hours. Everyday, have to meditate (sitting there, think nothing and concentrating on breathing) more than 8 times, every time spent 35 to 50 minutes, entire life just like a monk's life, the only significant difference was my hair still stayed on my head. haha...

At the beginning, it was undoubtedly a tough challenge for me though i'm a sincere buddhist, i never meditate non-stop for 5 days straight. Well, i like to read buddhist scriptures or recite sutras, but i quite dislike meditation, feels bored and uncomfortable when you are required to sit in cross-legged, straight your backbone, breath in and out for 30 minutes. But, after several days 'hardworking' in temple, i have changed idea, zen meditation is great, you can feel the moment of calm when you practicing zen.

Although previously i disliked meditation, i quite favor on Zen Buddhism 禅宗, this is because i am a maniac fan of chinese martial art story. When i saw the word 'zen', i will automatically connect it to its founding place, Shaolin temple, then pictures of martial monks fighting arise in my mind. Ok, share some story about Zen Buddhism with you guys, Zen buddhism is one of several important clans of mahayana school, zen buddhism founded in china, it is part of chinese buddhism, and also an important element of chinese philosophy. Founder of zen buddhism was an indian monk, called Bodhidharma 菩提达摩 which were disseminating buddhism in china 15 hundread years ago, he was man who invented shaolin martial art, thanks to his great contribution to martial world, haha. Ok, the unique of zen buddhism is zen buddhism dun need language, it never use language for learning, this is their core ideology: Language or words never able to describe buddhism, their way to cultivate buddhism is largely laid on meditation. Sutras, for them, is reference, and sometimes, sutras also will be their hindrance from attaining enlightenment.

The ultimate goal of buddhism is not to be buddha or attain enlightenment, but is to be nothing. Any goal or aspiration is viewed as craving and greed in buddhism, this is because the main idea of zen buddhism is let all of your cravings go away and be calm and mindful at every moment. Emm... normally beginner will face lots of difficulties in meditation, especially those unwanted, unnecessary minds continuously interrupt you, make you lost concentration to your breathing. I am an example, frankly, my mind is very weak to resist those unwanted minds and easily become chaotic condition. Sigh. Especially june 4 that day, a lot of image arise in my mind, kept on irritated me, tanks, bodies, students protest, and evil massacre, all of them stroke on me whole day, this is because june 4 massacre had given an enormous impact to my mind.

Overall, zen meditation is one of the good ideas to calm down your disorganized mind and also can self-rectify your body health. Two birds can be killed in a stone, therefore here to encourage you guys to take meditation as your daily activities, let your mind to rest for half an hour, you will definitely feel a entire refreshed. Remember, 'let go away' (or put down 放下) is the core idea to be held and cultivated during meditation. Human beings like to crave, to persist greed on lots of desire, like wealth, status, power, sex, delicious food and etc. All of these impermanent thing are our obstacles to achieve calmness of mind and enlightenment. In addition, human likes to compare with others, always wish to transcend other people, and also jealous on other people achievement. Well, i am one of them, always have a kind of mind that i am a superior person due to i know 'lots' of knowledge and sometimes look down on others, this is my terrible sickness that have been implanted in my mind for long time, but now is the time to reestablish myself, fixing my wrong minds and evil deeds.

Besides meditation, abstinence is always an important weapon which can't be lacked when facing those enemy mind, i.e. greed, hatred, delusion, pride and doubt. Currently i am at the frontline dealing with evil masturbation and other sexual misleading concept, it is a tough war, but i believed i can make it. Other than that, several unhealthy habits that i had successfully broken are abstinence from soft drinks (coke), cold drinks, computer games, alcoholic beverage, fast food meat (such as KFC's chickens) and recently nationalism. But i am not craving on those abstinence, i let it be naturally cured, not by force.

In the end, here pay my gratitude to fo guang shan, dongzen temple of organize this zen meditation program, and largely giving benifit to me.

Namo Buddhaya, may everything go perfectly for you. 诸事圆满.

Remembering Tiananmen Square's Massacre

The 18th anniversary of the June 4 Massacre in Beijing is upon us. Along with other co-sponsoring organizations, the Independent Federation of Chinese Students and Scholars in the USA (IFCSS) and the China Support Network (CSN) will hold a candlelight vigil at the Chinese embassy in Washington DC.

The time is from 7pm to 8:45pm on Saturday, June 2, 2006. The place is in front of the Chinese embassy in the U.S., located at 2300 Connecticut Ave. NW, in Washington, DC. The candlelight vigil this year marks the 18th continuous year that this memorial event is held.

During the candlelight vigil, IFCSS will announce the winners of this year's Spirit of Freedom Award. The award recognizes Chinese who do not surrender themselves to dictatorship; who maintain independent thought and dignity; and who display human conscience and the spirit of freedom. Past awardees include Song ZhongQiu, who criticized Chinese Communism from his death bed, suffering terminal cancer; Hu ShiGen, organizer of the PFDC (Party for Freedom and Democracy in China) in 1991 in the wake of Tiananmen Square's Massacre; Jiang QiSheng, a leader of the 1989 pro-democracy uprising who has continued his fight to push for democracy in China; and last year's awardees, Yang TianShui and the three heroic workers who challenged Mao ZeDong during the 1989 uprising by splattering paint on the huge Mao portrait in Tiananmen Square.

Also during this year's vigil, CSN's President John Kusumi will (rhetorically) remove the gloves and take the fight to the U.S. President, with a speech very unforgiving of the faulty United States policy towards Communist China. Kusumi has a new appellation for the U.S. Presidents ever since Tiananmen Square's Massacre. In his formulation, they are "wuss bunnies of moral cowardice." It has taken 18 years of that cowardice to work up to the frothy state of frustration that drives Kusumi to also note that the U.S. President "lacks situational awareness." According to Kusumi, "This is just like the first days after Hurricane Katrina. There is carnage, and the U.S. President just doesn't display situational awareness ('doesn't get it'). On China, he has continued his predecessors' tradition of a blind eye for all of China's carnage. There is a reason why I am pointing the finger, and saying 'Here is a wuss bunny of moral cowardice.' Ditto for the AP (Associated Press) and the IOC (International Olympic Committee), who don't want to admit that carnage is taking place."

Members of IFCSS, CSN, and more co-sponsors will gather in Washington to attend this memorial activity. The CSN will also commemorate the massacre in New York on June 3 and in Providence on June 4.

The candlelight vigil this year marks the 18th continuous year that this movement has been commemorating Tiananmen Square's Massacre. We believe this annual event is not just a memorial to martyrs -- who sacrificed their lives for freedom and democracy in that troubled land called China -- but moreover, is a continuation of the Chinese Democracy Movement. This event expresses the Movement's firm belief in, and effort to achieve, freedom and democracy in China. We hope all friends of freedom, who support the Chinese Democracy Movement, will not forget about June 4. We invite active involvement and participation in the Chinese Democracy Movement. And, if you cannot be at one of these commemorative events, please light a candle and put it in your window to remember the June 4 Massacre. As ever, we thank you for your support.

Begun as the American response group in 1989, CSN represents Americans who are "on the side" of the students in Tiananmen Square -- standing for democratic reform, human rights, and freedom in China. Bloody Theater

Lies which written by ink will never cover the truth which written by blood. Thousands of unarmed students and civilians were slaughtered and more than twenty thousands of people were injured during the violent crackdown in and around the Tiananmen Square, this is the truth, this is an undoubted fact that cannot be denied or whitewashed. Heads of butchers must be received punishment from the people. A proper reassessment and grief system have to be taken in order to calm down the deteriorating dissatisfaction of chinese people toward government. Current chinese leaders have to realize one thing that is whoever take courage to reassess 4 june massacre, he or she will definitely has highest evaluation than ever, even higher than chairman Mao.

Unfortunately, under whitewashing efforts have been done by communist regime, lots of mainland chinese people have gradually lost their memory, feels like this tragedy never exist before, some who still remembers but their memory were amended, they believed students democratic movement was a rebellion, was a western bloc's conspiracy, they thought that millions of students were in the square, were used by CIA. (If CIA had such powerful ability, US definitely won't be stuck in Iraq... lame) It is really sarcastic to say that ignorance is as structured as knowledge. This kind of deed has no any difference from those japanese rightist extremist who whitewashed the second world war history, chinese government has no right to blame japanese, because they are also doing in the manner. Anyhow, chinese communist regime still in continuous denial on 4 june massacre, but i believed that millions of chinese civilians still keep this sorrowful memory in their mind, and thanks to Hong Kong citizens who annually hold 4 june memorial gathering.

Yeah, i have found a good video which the background music sounds quite suit the video, share it to you guys.

Some pictures of global protests and mournings toward brutal oppression on unarmed civilians and students peaceful protest by sinful people liberation army on 4 june 1989 in and around the Tiananmen Square:

The only things can save china are Democracy, Liberty and Peace.

I deeply respect those martyrs who bravely resisted on regime killing machine with their blood and flesh, you will be shocked on their courage and determination.

2007 is the 18th anniversaries of 4 june massacre. What should we do? I wished here got open memorial gathering but i think it is absolutely impossible, maybe fear to provoke PRC anger. Sigh. As a member of human race, as a chinese descendant, as a civilian of a free country, we have the right to concern about human rights development in mainland china, we are obligated save our 1.3 billion fellow human who suffering under brutal dictatorship, the only thing we can do to let more and more people to get know about this tragedy, this anti-human massacre. I daresay if 2 billion people of this planet know the truth, chinese democracy is no further. If china achieves democracy, i believed that other autocratic regime will follow the step.

Eventually, i wanna say that power can be derived only from the consent of the people, not from persecution and oppression, of course not from tanks and machine guns. 4 june massacre, has undoubtedly left international a barbaric image of chinese communist regime and made P. R. China is a failed state, an uncivilized nation. If chinese human rights record still in continuous deteriorating, free world have to take consideration to boycott Beijing Olympic game, where a place once became bloody theater 18 years ago.
